The Texas Association of College and University Auditors (TACUA) is a professional organization comprised of audit practitioners in higher education. TACUA is dedicated to providing valuable tools, skills and resources to enhance an auditor's job performance. With the complex challenges higher education continues to face due to economic conditions, internal audit, risk management, and compliance services has never been more vital. Message from the TACUA President

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve as the 2017 President and welcome any newcomers to our incredible association. As the complexity of higher education deepens, the need for internal audit has never been greater. Please know myself and my fellow Board Members are dedicated and steadfast in providing you with affordable CPE and invaluable networking opportunities. Throughout the year, please feel free to reach out to me or any board member should you have ideas or thoughts to share. You will find our contact information under “Board Members” on the right.

In 2017, ACUA will have the Midyear Conference in Austin March 26th through 29th at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown. Several great tracks are planned and you will not want to miss it. In light of this great conference being in Texas for 2017, the TACUA Board has decided not to host its own annual conference. I would like to formally ask you to join us at the 2017 ACUA Midyear Conference -- help us ensure Texas is well represented at this national event! In conjunction with TACUA bylaws, we will host a Director’s meeting immediately following the conclusion of the ACUA Midyear Conference. This will take place 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Specific details will be communicated to Directors as we get closer to the time, but mark your calendars now.
